He then completed the following postgraduate medical clinical training programs: internship and residency in the specialty of internal medicine from 1985-1988 at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland; fellowship in the subspecialty of cardiology from 1988-1990 at the Brooklyn Hospital, Brooklyn, New York; fellowship in cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology at the Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee; fellowship in cardiac pacing and catheter ablation at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He received his Board Certification in the specialty of Internal Medicine in 1988, in Cardiology in 1991, and in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology in 1994 from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Clinical Practice in Cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmias: Radiofrequency ablation therapy of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias; Defibrillator and pacemaker implantation
Research interests in Cardiac Electrophysiology include the design of experimental setups to address questions about different aspects of RF catheter ablation of arrhythmias in the clinical setting. His research interests also include the clinical and basic electrophysiologic properties of newer and developmental anti arrhythmic agents.
