Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor Sought


The University of Wisconsin, Department of Biomedical Engineering, is seeking faculty members in all areas and at all levels. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (or related field) and their research should have clear implications for improving human health with foci on specific pathological conditions (e.g., cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease).

The following areas are of particular interest, but candidates from all areas are welcomed:


Neuroengineering: neural instrumentation, prostheses and interfaces, neural imaging, neural repair and regeneration, neural signal processing, computational neurosciences, and clinical neuroengineering;


Systems Biology: regulatory networks, multiscale modeling, stochastic modeling, transcription and signaling in single cells, proteomics/phosphoproteomics;


Global Health: design and implementation of sustainable engineering solutions to problems in global health.


Candidates will be expected to develop an exceptional research program, advise graduate students and post-graduate researchers, and develop and maintain extramural funding for this research program; teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop new courses; participate in outreach and service to industry and government; and participate in service activities in the department, college, and/or university.
