Career Connection 2004

Hundreds of students met with employers during the three-day Career Connection.

From the vantage point of Engineering Career Services (ECS), the job market is improving. ECS Associate Director John Archambault reported 146 employers met with hundreds of engineering students in September during the three-day event. "Our employers are pleased with the quality and preparation of students at Career Connection," says Archambault. "It's apparent not only in their comments but in the number of interviews they scheduled."

Some employers interviewed students immediately after Career Connection and many returned in October for recruiting visits. In its new facilities in the Engineering Centers Building, ECS can accommodate 26 recruiters daily, each interviewing 10-13 students. ECS was operating at nearly full capacity for most of October.
