Check-meter and Shingle Stripper take top honors on INNOVATION DAY
Tom Johnson, pictured in the left photo, won first place in this year's Tong Prototype Prize with his pneumatically powered shingle stripper. Nate Altfeather took the first-place prize in the Schoofs Prize for Creativity with the Check-meter, which measures the negative acceleration, or "check," of a rowing shell.

ENGINEERING CENTERS BUILDING |
|
Construction of the Engineering Centers Building is on schedule and should be completed by this fall, according to project managers. Workers are currently completing duct work, inside wall construction, wiring and lighting installation. The College of Engineering is tentatively planning a dedication ceremony in October. See the fall issue of PERSPECTIVE for further details.
